Abstract

A constant fraction type electronic circuit is described that performs a pulse shape analysis of organic scintillator pulses. The main features are: stability at high counting rates and energy independent particle identification over a wide energy range. In conjunction with a NE 213 scintillator, n- γ discrimination over a dynamic range of more than 1:100 can be performed at counting rates up to 5 × 10 4 pulses per second.
