Abstract

A class of microwave imaging methods based on integral equations and the moment method is considered. In particular, a pseudoinversion-based multiview approach and an alternative version making use of the first-order Born approximation are presented. A probabilistic technique is also described, which is based on a simulated annealing approach and on a Markov random field model. Results are reported on dielectric reconstructions of cylindrical scatterers with complex dielectric permittivities consistent with those of human tissues.
