Abstract

Voltammetric reduction of 2,2′-diquinoxalyl in acetic acid and DMF on the platinum electrode and hanging mercury dropping electrode was carried out. Redox potentials were determined, reaction rate constants were calculated, and mechanisms of the reactions were proposed. A two-electron process of the reduction in acetic acid and a two-stage reduction through the radical form in DMF were observed.
