Abstract
An electrically small non-Foster printed monopole antenna realized with operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) based non-Foster tunable matching network (MN) is presented. The negative reactances of the non-Foster MN are implemented by utilizing the parasitic capacitance of the OTA. Thus, no external lumped components are required. The antenna is miniaturized from its original operating frequency of 3.5 GHz to 900 MHz by using the non-Foster matching network with improved matching and radiation efficiency.
