Abstract

In this paper, we propose a simple weighted L p algorithm for the design of non-uniform integer decimated filter banks. By choosing proper L p criteria at pass-band and stop-band of the prototype filter and minimizing the p power of error function with an iterative method, ripples characteristic of the prototype filter can be efficiently controlled and non-uniform filter banks with high stop-band attenuation can be designed. An example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
