Abstract
Semantic service matching is to realize automatic and accurate service matching which is based on ontology logic reasoning, it has become main trend research of web service matching. However, the ontology logic reasoning is time-consuming, which lead to the low efficiency of matching semantic service, and became an obstacle to the largescale application of Semantic Matching. We have presented an approach to services matching called SMOSH (Services Matching On Services Hierarchy), which hierarchies services by exploiting the automatic reasoning mechanism of OWL ontologies. We have formally proved that the constructed hierarchy can help to increase the matching efficiency. The results of simulation experiments show that, compared with representative approaches available, SMOSH keeps relatively good performance and can respond to services in much shorter time.
