Abstract
An efficient preconditioner for analysis of electromagnetic scattering and radiation of the composite dielectric and thin conductive plate objects is proposed in this paper. In the conventional method, metal and dielectric are generally considered to be independent to each other. Therefore the accuracy of the solution cannot be guaranteed, when dealing with radiation problems. While the traditional continuity equation between metal and dielectric is invalid when the thickness of metal is infinitely small. Therefore the quasi-static relation for the parallel plate capacitor is extended as a preconditioner for the electromagnetic analysis of the composite dielectric and thin conductive plate objects in the proposed method. Numerical results show that the accuracy of solution can be improved, and the number of unknowns can be reduced by using this preconditioner.
