A-19 AN EFFICIENT METHOD FOR SORTING LARGE-VOLUME SEISMIC DATA Abstract 1 The channel count in our 3D seismic crews is increasing very rapidly. At Saudi Aramco the last count as of writing this paper has reached 3840 channels/VP. Many seismic processing algorithms require data to be sorted in special orders such as common mid-point and common receiver gathers.
