Abstract

We have synthesized a new Cu(II)-based MOF, thatshows atwo-dimensional structure which is linked throughelaborate H-bonding interactions resultingin a three-dimensional supramolecular structure. Cyclic voltametricstudies demonstrate good electrocatalytic behaviorwith lowering the onset potential to 0.56 V. From LSV, the catalyst was found to produce high polarization current density at 0.1 V/s scan rate. The reported Cu-MOF represents an excellent Platinum group metalfree electrocatalyst that exhibits an outstanding and stable electrocatalytic activity toward 4e-reduction of O2, facilitates the catalytic process in the fuel cell in a cost-effective manner and can play a vital role in ORR.
