Abstract

We report herein the study of the selective mono‐functionalization of 1,1,3,3‐tetramethyldisiloxane (TMDSO) with vinyl‐substituted silicon derivatives through the hydrosilylation reaction. An investigation of the use of platinum‐ and rhodium‐based catalysts in the reactions between TMDSO and exemplary vinyl‐containing silicon derivatives has enabled us to identify the most efficient catalyst, the application of which led to the selective partial functionalization of the disiloxane reagent and the simultaneous formation of only β regioisomers.
