Abstract

AbstractA new method of moment‐based formulation for the analysis of nonuniform transmission lines is presented. Subdomain complex basis functions are used to simulate different structures over a wide range of frequencies. The results obtained using the proposed formulation are validated by comparison to those obtained by CAD packages. Strip‐line and microstrip‐line transitions are investigated with an application to the design of a matched microstrip taper with width and dielectric height variations. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
