Abstract

In this paper, an attempt has been made to present an efficient approach for multi response optimization in Taguchi method. In this approach, best weight for each response is achieved by objectives that ensure maximization of both weighted normalized S/N ratios (WNSN) and minimum weighted SN ratios in each treatment. Using a sensible weight calculation to highlight treatments which have important role in total aggregation of WNSN and highest minimum value of WNSN among others is a important point in this paper, whereas In the prior studies, weights of SN ratio for each response are determined achieving the maximum weighted SN ratio that do not consider WNSN deviations. For this purpose, weight calculation model, the regression analysis and analysis of variance (ANOVA) are used to compute the weights, predict the relation model and clarify the effective terms, respectively. Finally, a case study for optimizing Gasoline production process is surveyed and results show improvement in real experiments.
