Abstract
In this paper, we present an efficient system (models) to automate the task of essay grading through a comprehensive study and enhancement of recent approaches namely multiple linear regression (MLR) and gradient boosted regression (Xg-boost) which can positively impact the operational efficiency, time consumption, labour dependency, Unbiased grading and consistency. We also illustrate the efficiency of the proposed systems(models) through a fair comparison of recent models with respect to the evaluation metric, features applied and limitations.
