Abstract

This paper deals with the use of Differential Search Algorithm (DSA) for performance analysis of Isolated Asynchronous Generator (IAG) feeding star-connected lamp load. Graph theory and loop impedance method have been used for the analysis of IAG, which leads to two higher order equations where the per unit magnetizing reactance “Xm” and per unit generated frequency “a” are considered as the unknown variables. Out of the two equations, only a single equation is considered for the analysis. DSA algorithm has been compared with the Binary Search Algorithm (BSA) and it is found that DSA is more efficient than BSA. The results obtained from DSA technique have been weighted against the experimental results which shows the compactness between the simulated and the experimental results and validates the suggested algorithm.
