Abstract
In conclusion, we have developed a method for blast furnace control utilizing hot metal temperature as the guide, blast moisture as the control variable and stone changes to compensate for variations in sinter basicity. Use of these principles has been successfully demonstrated on operating blast furnaces. Further improvements will occur as the system is utilized but it can be used effectively now with only slight modification on any blast furnace.
