Abstract

The direct path interference (DPI) and multipath interference (MPI) cancellation is a key issue in non-cooperative passive radar. Existing cancellation methods always impose that restrain surplus large, such as least mean square (LMS), batch extensive cancellation algorithm (ECA-B) and computing expensive, such as spatial algorithm and extensive cancellation algorithm (ECA), which is impossible for real passive radar system. In order to solve this problem, this paper analyzed the principle of ECA-B and the cause of restrain surplus after interference suppression, proposed an improved ECA-B for Non-cooperative passive radar system DPI and MPI cancellation. It is demonstrated by simulation that the proposed algorithm can effectively counteract direct path and multipath, significantly reduce restrain surplus thus promote interference suppression ratio, at last, the error analysis shows that the algorithm has a good stability.
