Abstract

With the increased use of Internet for various purpose such as communication, social networking, business, education and entertainment, the user increasingly demand web content to be delivered without delays. Web pages include web contents of different types such as JavaScripts, images, audio, video, stylesheets, advertisements, etc. Loading of different types of network hungry web page content often congest network access and increases perceived delay of users. In this paper, we proposed an approach that allows user to selectively load contents on a web page. In particular, the proposed approach allows users to disable loading of web content such as social media, advertisements, images and off-screen web content. The evaluation shows effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed approach.
