Abstract

One alternative to residential placement has been the use of intensive in-home treatment. This paper first, reviews some of the major tenets of this approach. Then, it examines one state's experience with these types of programs. Finally, it compares various in-home programs in terms of organization, staffing, and effectiveness. Conclusions are formulated based on the need for interdepartmental coordination.
