Abstract

In this paper, we consider the problem of assigning, by state feedback, a finite spectrum to a single-input system with commensurate point delays. It is well-known that spectral controllability is a necessary condition. We show that it is also sufficient. We give a constructive procedure for the synthesis of a feedback law, involving distributed delays, which yields a closed-loop system having a finite number of poles.
