Abstract

Background: Following the GMC’s Excellence by Design report on postgraduate curricula, the clinical oncology (CO) curriculum has been rewritten and includes a shared first year of training – the oncology common stem (OCS) – where medical oncology (MO) and CO trainees have the same curriculum including radiotherapy (RT) skills evidenced with DORPS (direct observation of radiotherapy planning skills) and acute oncology. Radiotherapy planning experience had suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic, with more planning happening remotely.
