Abstract
The “Bibliografia del Novecento” series, directed (not officially but in fact) by Dante Isella, was published by Vanni Scheiwiller between 1993 and 1998 for the All’Insegna del Pesce d’Oro editions. Through the study of the documents kept at the Centro Apice of the University of Milan, here are reconstructed, for the first time, the events that led to ideation and publication of each of the seven titles that compose it, which are then analyzed more in depth about: the form of bibliographic description and the documentary evidence; the relationships that existed between the publisher, the director and the authors and curators; the reasons for the project within the contemporary literary scenario and in the context of Vanni Scheiwiller publishing catalog. In Appendix, the Series Catalog follows.
