Abstract

A 73-YEAR-OLD WOMAN with moderate aortic regurgitation had an enlarging 5.8-cm aortic root aneurysm ending about 4 cm before the origin of the brachiocephalic artery. She underwent aortic root replacement, the composite conduit being comprised of a 25-mm pericardial valve sewn into a 30-mm collagen-impregnated polyester graft.1,2
