Abstract
The presented platinum zirconium adduct [(Cy(3)P)(2)Pt-ZrCl(4)] expands the range of known platinum metal adducts towards early-late heterobimetallics displaying the first unsupported dative transition metal bond; X-ray structure and DFT calculations gave an estimation about the bond strength and indicate a strong Pt-Zr bond.
