Abstract

Central granular cell odontogenic tumor (CGCOT) is a rare odontogenic tumor that occurs more frequently as a unilocular radiolucent lesion in the premolar-molar region of the mandible in middle-aged women. This case report presented an early CGCOT arising from the dental follicle of an impacted mandibular third molar of a young man. This 19-year-old male patient was referred from his family dentist to our outpatient clinic for extraction of an impacted left mandibular third molar with an enlarged dental follicle (Fig. 1A).
