Abstract

Job satisfaction of the employees of any organization is the most important factor in the determination of the successful functioning of a firm. The aspiration and mental attitude towards acquiring new knowledge and skills are based upon the psychological tendency of the workers. Indian automobile industries in recent time have faced a peculiar problem of under staffing because of the outsourcing system followed in many areas of production, the usage of IT technique not only enhancing production possibilities in a long gestation period but also stand and enjoy its reputation of name and fame of the company. Most of the vehicle manufacturers are forced to follow the technique of appointing fully qualified IT personnel to train their employees to bring out the untapped potentialities in workforce which is most crucial in enjoying a significant segment of market structure. This paper shows the tendency and attitude of the automobile workers in adopting IT technology and also issues and challenges encountered. The author suggested certain policy recommendations to ascertain the need for this task in an axiomatic manner with some illustrations.
