Abstract
Human beings depend mostly on visual sensory information to recognize their environment. There are many devices which provide vibration to the skin but a few use vibration for practical application. In this study, the vibration pattern is produced by a 16x6 array of small vibrator (PZT) reeds (50 Hz) and the entire array fits on the thumb. This apparatus can be used by the driver who can recognize the correct order of the characters from the motion of the vibrator points.
