Abstract

Summary. The uptake of radioselenium after injection of Se75‐labelled sodium selenate in some tissues known to contain sulpho‐muco‐Polysaccharides was studied by means of autoradiography. When the results obtained were compared to what is known about the distribution of S35 after administration of labelled sodium sulphate, it was found that the selenate ion behaves in a quite dif‐ferent way than the sulphate ion. This investigation has been aided by grants from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, the Therese and Johan gndersson Foundation and the Vitrum Company, Stockholm.
