Abstract

A simple automatic digitizer for graphs and polaroid pictures for use with minicomputers has been developed. This system comprises a slightly modified commercial TV camera, a digitizer that processes the TV video signals and delivers in a digital form a sequence of the ordinates of the analyzed graph, and an optional TV monitor and CRT oscilloscope interfaced to the minicomputer. Special software which acquires the digitized data and corrects for improper alignments and aberrations caused by the TV camera was written. This software permits the composition of the system from common elements present in most laboratories.
