Abstract
[This article first appeared in the Music Educators Journal in 1949, and was also published, in condensed form, in the NEA Journal under the title “Sharing Music Appreciation with Children.” Since that time, it has been widely used as an assignment in music education classes and in in-service training programs. Continuing requests for reprinting prompted this repetition as well as an unsuccessful search for the author's present address. We hope the reappearance of her work will cause her to come forward to receive the plaudits she justly deserves for having contributed one of the most popular items to appear in the Music Educators Journal in the past decade.]
