An audit to review data entry of oncology patients onto the Somerset Cancer Register at University Hospital Aintree

Abstract

Introduction: The Somerset Cancer register is a tool developed to record information throughout a patient's journey through cancer. We developed an audit to review if information was being accurately and thoroughly entered onto the register for oral and maxillofacial oncology patients. We expected diagnosis, pathology, discussion of pathology and patient follow up data to be entered onto the register in 100% of cases.
