Abstract
An audit of dental health education materials frequently used by community dental services in the North West of England is presented. It identified many improvements to be made in the resources and provided an enjoyable, useful and relevant training session for a variety of oral healthcare workers.This article describes how assessment techniques for dental health materials were applied in an Inter-Trust audit in the North West of England in February 1997. Holloway et al (1997) described such a method of appraising dental health education material. They summarised how resources were assessed for the second edition of the Catalogue of Dental Health Resources for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (Blinkhorn et al 1997).
