Abstract

A 12-year-old boy presented a submandibular tumor which contained acid-fast bacilli in the pus. The microorganisms were classified as “anonymous” tubercle bacilli, Mycobacterhan balnei. The patient also showed a positive Pirquet reaction. Diagnosed as tuberculosis of the cervical lymph glands, the tumor was treated with streptomycin, PAS and isoniazid with good effect.
