Abstract

Question: A 38-year-old woman with a 3-year history of primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) developed recurrent episodes of intermittent jaundice and abdominal pain. Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography was completed and demonstrated a possible dominant stricture without an evident mass lesion (Figure A). She presented for elective outpatient endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and was found to have a positive urine pregnancy test on routine preprocedural testing. Given these findings, the procedure was deferred, and the patient followed up with her gynecologist.
