Abstract
Neuroticism, extroversion, attachment anxiety, and inauthentic self-presentation, were investigated as predictors of university students’ quality of experience in on-campus accommodation. A model of these factors reliably predicted measures of college experience. Only neuroticism was found to make a significant contribution to the prediction, but further investigation of the results is required. Interestingly, some of the measures of quality of experience did not correlate with each other. These results have implications for administration of on-campus residences and raise questions about the way in which experience in residences interacts with the general experience of university.
