Abstract

A brief theoretical study upon electrical conduction in both crystalline and amorphous carbon is carried out by means of atomic and molecular orbitals for determining firstly the local electronic density of states. From this density, the conductance of a carbon nanotube is evaluated as well as the corresponding current intensity.
