Abstract
A rugged type of astatic magnetometer has been designed and built for use in the shop and laboratory to measure susceptibility of materials. The sensitivity may be adjusted from 2×10−8 to 1×10−5 electromagnetic c.g.s. unit per scale division, allowing the measurement of volume susceptibility of practically any material.
