Abstract

Temporal variation of solar radiation and other meteorological parameters are reported for two locations in Lesotho in preparation for the utilization of solar energy in the country. The data reported here include daily and hourly global and diffuse radiation, clearness index, percentage of possible sunshine, maximum temperature, relative humidity and global radiation on titled surfaces. An analysis of the results indicates that the weather conditions in Lesotho are most favourable for the utilization of solar energy.
