Abstract

HIGHLIGHTS 29 species (five of them threatened with extinction) in 17 genera and four families. Insectivorous bats represent 62.1% of the species recorded. Frugivorous bats (Phyllostomidae) represent 24.1% of the species recorded. This high-growth potential diversity bears both a numerical and ecological relevance.
