Abstract

Education for all (EFA) is among the millennium developmental goals. So the need to educate the girl child has become a global concern. This p a p e r examines the Accessibility of Education to a girl child in Sokoto State. The efforts made by some agencies were highlighted, and the constraints emanating from socio-cultural, religious, economic, governmental, parental, the psychology of the girl child and the system of education were examined and recommendations offered. All stakeholders - government, private, individuals, parents and girl child have to join hand together to promote education of the girl child to the desired 100 %
