Abstract

A study involving one aspect of continuous assessment was performed. A class following a degree course in chemistry was split into two groups after being given a diagnostic test in mathematics. One of the groups was given short tests every other class meeting which were returned and discussed the following class meeting. At the end of the term both groups were given a final examination covering the term's work. Analysis of the data indicates no significant difference between the performance of the two groups.
