Abstract
After comparing several common virtual reality technologies, the paper chooses graphics tool Java3D for three-dimensional scene generation, and develops an architectural ceramic product decoration effect three-dimensional display system. The system is web-based, object-oriented, and is designed according to the characteristics of architectural ceramic products. Algorithms for edge detection and image morphing have been applied on pattern design of the ceramic products in the system. By investigating various existing texture synthesis algorithms, the paper proposes and implements a compounded texture mapping method. The system can sufficiently deliver three-dimensional effects of ceramic products online and therefore is promising for practical use.
