Abstract

Today unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) find applications in many areas, including ecology, agriculture and biological scientific explorations. Most often in these areas, the processing of images, made by UAV cameras, is restricted to analysis of objects' spectral characteristics and the obtained results are not supported by precise real time geodetic data. Having in mind this situation an approach for processing video streams, obtained by UAV cameras, is suggested in the paper. It allows spatial coordinates of the observed objects to be calculated in real time. As a result, the approach, presented in the paper, could be used for increasing the level of ecology and agriculture surveillance data analysis.
