Abstract
The factors for the choice of appropriate technology for China is discussed. Chinese Machine-Building Industry is undergoing technical transformation, it is necessary to select appropriate technology to suit the special conditions in China. The application of microelectronics, including microcomputers, microprocessors, programmable logic controllers etc., is one of the appropriate technologies that can meet these requirements. This technology has been transferred to the Chinese machine-bulding industry and achieved certain economic results. This paper gives the analysis of more than one hundred typical applications of microcomputer in China, and gives some applicational results in the utilization of microelectronics in the Chinese machine-building industry.
