Abstract
In Poland, several hospital information systems have been developed or are in progres. They are oriented towards solutions of specific fragmentary problems and developed on various home and imported hardware. This way is not preferable for a country in a down economy period and in 1984 a project was initiated for development of a reproducible complex information system which should constitute a sound basis for a global Health Service Information System in our country.The aim of the present paper is to discuss our approach to the development of the System in order to obtain advice, criticism and/or approval of our ideas at the instant that it is still possible to make the best of them in our job.KeywordsHospital Information SystemStar TopologyHardware EnvironmentComputer ExpertEconomy PeriodThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
