Abstract

Rationale: Protein-energy wasting (PEW) is a syndrome characterized by malnutrition related to disease and inflammation in hemodialysis (HD) patients. This study aimed to analyse the prevalence of PEW by applying Glim's diagnostic criteria and the contribution of other nutritional-inflammatory biomarkers in HD patients.
