Abstract

The gas glow discharge in the powerful continuous CO/sub 2/ laser is a working state of instable balance. In 1970, Meerkov proposed a method stabilizing the gas discharge process of CO/sub 2/ lasers by vibrational control without feedback from a microscopic angle. In this paper, the method is applied to vibrational feedback for improving the stability of CO/sub 2/ laser thermodynamics systems, thereby reducing the cooling role and raising the efficiency of laser. The method is developed from a macroscopic angle.
