Abstract

In this review, we discuss quantum measurement theory to develop that for dressed photons. Algebraic quantum theory is based on the theory of operator algebras, especially, C\(^*\)-algebras. Our formulation of quantum measurement theory stands on von Neumann algebras, a special class of C\(^*\)-algebra, and treats processes of measurements both in the Schrodinger picture and in the Heisenberg picture.
