Abstract

The next generation mobile networks vision requires efficient handoff management schemes that support mobile users with seamless migration between mobile networks while providing high bit rate services. It is shown that most of the mobility management protocols contributed to standardization processes are designed based on the practical experiences. With a dynamic fashion, this paper introduces a solution to the design process of handoff management protocols for next generation mobile networks without being with any experiences. The proposed model of handoff traffic flows is based on the stochastic differentiation equations and traffic flows theories. Moreover, the optimization problem can be solved by applying the simulation approach using the tool named NetSim-UFO with a prototype design.
