Abstract

Abstract Industrial engineering techniques have not been widely used to address resource allocation problems of educational facilities, in spite of the obvious need for better utilization of these resources. The successful application of two fundamental industrial engineering tools, work sampling and ABC analysis, to a study of library carrel utilization is reported herein, along with some observations on the implementation process.
