Abstract

A combined Dewar vessel and double absorption cell is described for use in the quantitative measurement of the ultra-violet absorption spectra of solutions between + 100 and - 196° C. The apparatus is particularly convenient when used in conjunction with the Cary recording spectrophotometer. Temperature confraction data are given for a number of useful solvents.
